Commercial Club members vote 94 to 13 to relocate to the central Dilley building contending it offers better quarters. A credentials committee is named and pros and cons of hosting the Panhandle Stockmen’s convention are discussed as the group closes.
Roswell offers an evening event with cadets and local performers at the rink. Tickets are at Payton Drug Store with reserved seats 75 and 50 and general admission 25 cents. The ad promises it as the best show by local talent. Zink the Jeweler also advertises heavy discounts on fine glass and hand painted china for cash.

Roswell New Mexico invites precincts to a Democratic delegate county convention at the Court House on April 18 1908 at 2 p m to select delegates to the Territorial and National Democratic Conventions. Representation is one delegate per 25 voters based on the 1906 vote for Hon. Larrazolo with each precinct tied to at least one delegate. Also included is a real estate ad for a 5 room cottage near $1 700 with easy payments from R H McCune Building and Loan.
Kansas City Mo March 31 The interstate convention of United Mine Workers of America for Missouri Kansas Oklahoma and Arkansas will outline its policy on differences with operators today Russell handles boiler work and a record office advertises medical services including eye ear nose and throat care with glasses fitting and phone contact.

Special to the Daily Record Carlsbad N M March 31 The term of court has been a busy grind with the Mose Lewis murder case and numerous criminal and civil juries. Four women described as perfect ladies were fined with costs and jailed but the sentences suspended if they left the territory. A saloon owner Sol Schoonover was found guilty of vagrancy and faces further sentence. The sheep stealing case against B M Mitchell ended in a split jury and cost Eddy County much money. Joe Homolka pleaded guilty to a bad check and was jailed. Dan Sullivan received a $50 fine after a shooting incident with O P Weddle. Judge Pope continues long sessions and officials S I Roberts Louis O Fullen Longstreet Hall receive praise for their work. William Davis hackamore Bill was captured in Carlsbad and handed to Texas authorities. A man using the alias Graybill is jailed awaiting bond. District officers and reporters note steady court pace and efficient courthouse leadership.
