Wind and hostile spectators marred a tense game with few hits and rare errors. Several attempted plays stalled, and only one double play occurred, leaving the contest noted for its unsteady play and lack of scoring chances.
The Anti-Saloon League forms quickly and launches active effort, organizing volunteers and planning campaigns to push temperance measures. Leaders rally supporters and begin coordinated outreach across communities.
In Roswell twenty-five local business men meet and pledge to work legally and reasonably for the abolition of saloons. They plan to increase membership and promote another temperance lecture to advance the cause.
The Army musical comedy directed by Mrs. Percy Evans will benefit the Military Institute Athletic Association at the Auditorium Rink Friday night. Local talent performs with strong chorus, and tickets are sold at Payton Drug Store with reserved seats 75 and 50 cents, general admission 25 cents.
A special train will run from Roswell to Hagerman on Friday April 3 for the bridge celebration. Depart Roswell at 10:00 AM and return about 6:00 PM. Round trip fare set at one and one third. The day includes a basket dinner baseball game speaking contests and a dance. All are welcome.
