Two firefighters graduate from six week training program
Two new firefighters, Paul Thompson and Rich Lindberg, completed six weeks of training at station one earning certificates in auto extrication hazardous materials arson investigation and more totaling 240 hours. Chief Homer Trujillo calls the program safer than past rookies training and the rookies will soon pick shifts after a week of staff input.

Activists hold citizen inspection at Los Alamos

Tobosa develops service station for clients with developmental disabilities
Tobosa Developmental Services opens a non profit service station in Roswell to train about 10 clients in gas pumping car washing tire checks and register operation. Though not profit making yet the project aims for self support while providing meaningful work and skill development for roughly 100 clients served by TDS and Los Pasitos.
