A separate note says a Bughouse Commission will decide if Harry K Thaw is sane for his Stanford White murder trial and may interrupt proceedings.
Justice Fitzgerald ordered a commission in lunacy to review the Thaw case after affidavits varied and could not be judged. If the defendant is found sane the trial resumes. if not, commitment to an asylum for the criminal insane is sought. Mrs Evelyn Thaw cried as she left the court for the Tombs.

Hugh G. Shaugh, organizer for the Brotherhood of Railroad Postal Clerks, was dismissed from railway mail service in San Francisco. He had been suspended two weeks earlier for insubordination and for collecting funds to influence Congress to raise clerks’ wages. A written statement was filed, prompting the removal notice.
