Rise with Roswell Salute to Agriculture Breakfast
The Roswell Chamber of Commerce hosted the Rise with Roswell Salute to Agriculture breakfast at the Farm Bureau Building on the Eastern New Mexico State Fair grounds. More than 150 attendees including farmers ranchers dairy workers and local officials heard Shannon Norris of New Mexico State University speak on agricultural education. Indictments by Chaves County Grand Jury Highlight Health Care Worker Battery Case
Chaves County grand jury convened in February and indicted multiple individuals on charges including battery upon a health care worker and resisting an officer. Ricardo C. Alaniz, 48, Roswell, faces a fourth degree felony for punching a nurse while taking blood pressure, along with trespass and resisting charges.

Free legal aid for seniors at Roswell JOY Center event

Army to bolster air defense unit at White Sands
The Army will base an Air Defense Artillery Test Detachment at White Sands Missile Range increasing troop strength to 143 soldiers in 2018. The unit will draw personnel from across the Army to support missile defense programs and testing at the vast New Mexico range.
