The two year old child of Martin Illo north of town fell from a dry lock to the concrete below at six last night. The well is fourteen feet deep. The physician says the child will recover. The baby was unconscious on arrival but woke this morning with a clear brain and no skull fracture noted, an unusual outcome for the accident.

Washington March 11 The upcoming Supreme Court session will hear the appeal of Standard Oil Company of New Jersey from the Missouri circuit court dissolution ruling in a case described as the most serious legal battle the company has faced. The government, led by Attorney General Wickersham, contends the 1899 organization formed a monopoly in interstate oil trade. The decision targeted seven individuals and multiple affiliated companies for forming a restraint on commerce, with the court restricting the subsidiary and related entities while allowing distribution of stock to shareholders.
