Blackdom Oil Company Signs Deep Test Contract
A contract between Blackdom Oil Company and a large mid-continent drilling firm calls for a deep test well at Blackdom southeast of Orchard Park. Drilling must begin within 60 days and reach at least 3,500 feet unless oil is found earlier. The 4,800 acre tract lies near the National Exploration Company’s current site and has a $1,000 per acre bonus with a $5,000 bond. Machinery is en route and will move to the site upon arrival.
