City Council Sets April 4 Election and Names Officials

At last night’s regular meeting the city council set the election for Tuesday April 4 and named the officials of the election and registration boards. Mayor Dow was absent, Alderman Rose presiding. A special meeting is planned for Wednesday March 10 to address paving and other matters. Several streets may be paved, fines will be collected on the spot, and permits were approved for filling stations at Second and Richardson and Main and Fifth. A gasoline storage tank petition near the Texas company was passed as a legal form issue. Regular bills were approved and routine business completed.
