Roswell Public Safety Committee unanimously approved a resolution to amend the contract with the Roswell Police Officers Association. The changes add SWAT members to the stipend eligible group, raise on-call pay from 25 to 75 dollars monthly, and increase uniform allowance from 800 to 850 dollars annually, at an estimated 30 000 dollar annual cost.
A city committee approved a resolution that would grant Roswell Police Department SWAT members a $100 monthly specialty stipend for serving arrest warrants in the 1500 block of Pontiac Drive on June 21. The plan also increases on-call duty pay by $50 monthly and adds $50 annually for uniforms.
