Murder near Roswell ends in suspected killing of Albert Ross

A decomposed body found on a road northwest of Roswell is positively identified as Albert Ross a 21 or 22 year old German from St. Louis who came seeking care for consumption. Police believe a quarrel with Adolph Kulay at the King ranch led to his death. An inquest is planned at Ullery undertaking rooms tomorrow afternoon.

City Council Sticks With Oil Tank Ordinance

East St Louis residents report an attempted hold up of a St. Louis Illinois Traction Company express car carrying 48 000 dollars in cash and 1 000 dollars in jewelry near Lynch's station. C E Harman a Chicago and Alton train dispatcher signaled the motorman to speed up as the car passed. The highwaymen fired at the car, a bullet struck the carriage but no one was hurt.

The current lease runs to February with sub-lease until expiration, and the Ramona property is owned by L. B. Boellner.
