Lovington man charged with vehicular homicide in double fatal wreck
A 19-year-old Lovington man, Oscar Martinez Zamora, was charged with vehicular homicide for a April 23 crash that killed Joseph Cole Wier and Tymplair Weir. Investigators say Zamora, entering the intersection at Avenue D and Industrial at 91 mph after stopping, claimed brake failure but evidence shows brakes worked. He faces up to 10 years if convicted.
