Police reported a 1500 dollar well water reading device stolen from a vehicle on Mission Arch Avenue. Edgewood Church lost tin sheets valued at 10 dollars used for fencing. A 74 year old man suffered a burglary on E Deming Street with 2600 dollars in damage and items stolen including air conditioner and computer. Shoes stolen from Big Five for 150 dollars. A non forced entry burglary on South Kentucky Avenue involved 1000 dollars of electronics and gaming systems. Crime Stoppers at 888-594-TIPS offers anonymity and rewards.
A federal hearing is scheduled Monday for Jamie Estrada former campaign manager to Gov Susana Martinez. He faces twelve counts of intercepting email and four counts of making false statements to federal agents. Estrada pleaded not guilty and the hearing will precede a planned trial next month.
New Mexico State Police and Motor Transportation Police conducted a two day traffic enforcement in Chaves and Eddy counties. The effort produced 312 traffic citations four arrests and one stolen vehicle recovery. Authorities targeted aggressive driving speed violations and unbelted occupants. The release says zero tolerance and ongoing projects to keep motorists safe and reduce crashes.
