Memorial Day tribute and veteran honors in Roswell
Roswell veterans were honored on Memorial Day 2012 by American Legion Post 28 led by Commander San tiago Vasquez with a motorcade procession from Pioneer Plaza to South Park Cemetery. Flags were placed on over 3,000 graves by Boy Scouts Conquistador Council and volunteers, and community groups thanked for music, ceremony leadership, and cleanup. A second note honors Billy V. Carpenter as a respected local figure and justice figure.
