Results from the 15th Pecos Valley Charity Horse Show at the Eastern New Mexico Fair Grounds list junior jumping and equitation winners across age groups. Notable victors include Paula Wiseman of Roswell and Beth Postlewaite of El Paso with multiple top finishes.
Horsemanship over fences results list top riders across age groups with Cheryl Aber Elisa Fernandez and Sue Bunch among top finishers in El Paso and Roswell. In the 11 and under division Lana Miller and Susan Maddox lead the field with Elizabeth Cavin and Judy Johnson also placing.
First entry received for the Sunland Park Race Track trials July 14-16 1961. Mrs James Sum mel of Midland Texas plans to compete in Dressage and three day combined jumping. Trials open to riders 16 and over with horses loan donations encouraged.
Builders Black and Stone edged Walker 3-2 in Babe Ruth League play. Trailing 2-0, Builders scored three in top of the seventh on two walks two hits and a balk. Tracy Laub earned the win fanning eight. Vic Roberts took the loss despite nine strikeouts and a homer with a man aboard for Walker.
