Oil laden train derails in Oregon’s Columbia River Gorge
A Union Pacific train hauling highly volatile Bakken oil derailed near Mosier Oregon causing a fire and evacuations along Interstate 84. Eleven or twelve cars derailed igniting the blaze as witnesses described hearing booming sounds and smoke rose over the Gorge. Federal investigators arrived from Vancouver as officials said no injuries were reported and rail safety rules remain under review.
