Three Escape Serious Injury In Exploding Tire Mold
At 9 this morning a steam tire vulcanizing mold exploded at Dollahan tire shop, 205 East Second, hurled a 600 pound mold through the roof and through walls, sending fragments across First Street. Three men nearby were thrown but escaped with burns and bruises as steam filled the room and holes appeared in roof and floor. Cause undetermined though gauge read 40 pounds though 200 pounds were safe.
