Moving Wall to honor fallen Vietnam veterans in Roswell
The Moving Wall replica will visit Roswell for seven days starting June 11 at the Russ DeKay Soccer Complex. The event honors the 22 Chaves County veterans and others from southeast New Mexico who died in Vietnam. Local volunteers, including RHCC and VFW members, organized transport costing about $3,000. Opening ceremonies feature remarks, color posting, a keynote by Gen. Richard T. Knowles, and name readings.
