A Texas jury ruled against the Waters-Pierce Oil Co awarding 1 623 990 to an estate and canceled the companys Texas business permit. The defense indicated it would seek an appeal immediately.
Washington June 1 The American Federation of Labor announces the revocation of the charter of the International Brewery Workmen, and its refusal to accept the role of the Federation. The action affects all Brewery Workmen's Unions nationwide.
The Territorial penitentiary houses 294 prisoners, the largest tally in its history, up from 249 a year ago. The rising population marks a notable increase in confinement numbers within the facility.
A committee invites all interested in forming a YMCA to gather Sunday at 4 30 PM in the Christian church. Fathers mothers wives and daughters are urged to attend and participate as good music by a union choir and short talks are planned. The initiative aims to help local youth.

About forty American productions are to face the minimum tariff rates in Germany. Uniform rates for all American products may be altered only by substantial tariff concessions by the United States in reciprocity, subject to congressional approval.
Neb June 1 The fight between the packers and livestock commission men over the post mortem purchase of cow stock took a new turn as Armour Co bought 320 cows directly from cattle raisers under the new rule. Commission men advise raisers not to ship until order is rescinded, citing a break in the cattlemen’s line.
