Former social worker accused of sex with inmates at Springer
Mary Jo Cordova, 31, a former social worker at the New Mexico Boys' School at Springer, faces five counts of criminal sexual penetration two counts of distributing marijuana to a minor two counts of bringing contraband into a juvenile facility and one count of witness retaliation. The alleged acts occurred between December 2000 and March 2001 with two inmates ages 17 and 18. CYFD says it is reviewing the incidents to improve safeguards.
