A 27 year old man Merle Ramone was jailed in Albuquerque on murder and 20 charges after a robbery spree at Bowlin's Trading Post Laguna Travel Center and Canoncito store. Ramone, who said he was upset about his job and a repossessed truck, led police on a chase near the Canoncito Navajo reservation. Two 18 year old To'hajiilee men Dion Secatero and Lyle Apachito were later arrested in connection with the shootings and the robberies. They were held by Navajo Nation police before potential turnover to New Mexico authorities.
