Byron O Beall head of the state tax commission oversees Roswell city budget for 1934 35 reducing general fund expenses by 1500 dollars with street salaries cut to 9000 and legal costs halved to 500 The approved total general fund budget is 65330 versus 66830 tentative Budget revenue from licenses gasoline tax and liquor rises to cover the four mill levy need and water works earnings are shifted to support the budget while leaving 16297 to be raised by taxation for interest funds
