First flight deported Central American immigrants from Roswell
About 40 immigrant adults and children were flown from Roswell to Honduras on an MD-80 charter. The flight marked the first in a series of deportations tied to President Obama’s June surge policy. Parks Committee OKs Altrusa name change proposal
The Roswell Parks and Recreation Committee approved renaming Missouri Avenue Park after the Roswell Altrusa Club pending City Council approval.
