Farmers southeast of Roswell report jack rabbits invading irrigated cotton fields with one farm losing up to 25 acres. A rabbit drive is scheduled for Saturday at 2 pm inviting sportsmen to meet at a crossroads filling station eight miles south of Roswell to help rid the area.
Ross Garrett outlined a hospital planned at Country Club Road and Kentucky designed to feel like home. The facility would include a children's room, built in cabinets, telephones, TVs, custom meals, memorial plaques, and a pneumatic tube system with credit cards. Opened Jan 1 1955 pending staff by laws and committees from the American Hospital Association event in San Francisco.
