New Mexico Savings Funds to Surpass One Billion

New Mexico faces a transfer next week that will push the combined balances of the Permanent Fund and the Severance Tax Permanent Fund past 1 billion dollars. As of July 1 the Permanent Fund stood at 813.4 million and the Severance Tax fund at 181.8 million, totaling 995.3 million. The transfer, estimated around 18 million, will push the total over the billion-dollar mark.
