Simms Receives 14 Point Traffic Safety Program

Delegates at the National Traffic Safety Conference in San Francisco presented Gov. John Simms with a 14 point plan to reduce highway accidents. Druggist Delivers Baby At Fort Worth Store

Roswell Derby Opens With 3000 Fans Watching 30 Racers

Britt Reed the prior year's champion will flag off the fourth annual Roswell Soap Box Derby at 10 a m on July 4 along North Union Ave near Cahoon Park. Two Men Suffer Burns in Electrical Accident

Luther Hampton of 1403 E Alameda St and Paul Hopper of Box 2064 were injured while raising a gun pole on a truck for irrigation pump work. Both men, employees of Smith Machinery Co., were treated at Eastern New Mexico Medical Center after the 7 a.m. accident near Carl Ni place southwest of Dexter and transported by Valley Mortuary ambulance.
