The Supreme Court ruled the government may hold thousands of barrels of whiskey in government warehouses. It decided for the government in four suits by individuals seeking to recover liquor they owned and move to private use.
In Dallas on January 29 authorities seized about two hundred syringes and several hundred steel needles used by drug addicts in a raid on an alleged dope den. Three arrests were made and federal authorities said they are investigating.

W Te Clardy lost his barn and garage to fire yesterday at 12 30 in the morning. The Buick automobile, nearly new with only about eight hundred miles on it, was also consumed before the fire was discovered.
