Ten Arrested In Connection Bank Robbery

Pittsburgh police rounded up ten suspects in the daylight First National Bank of Crafton robbery. The assistant cashier was killed during the heist, and the loot was recovered. Two bandits identified are Walter Joyce and Oren Greene, one named by a witness as the shooter.

Davis to El Paso on White Line

R O Davis departed this morning for El Paso after several days in the city handling business. From Picacho, Dillard Wyatt and Judge Charles R Brice returned last night after Judge Brice was taken suddenly ill on Thursday. In Washington January 28 prohibition commissioner Haynes announced the appointment of twenty one federal prohibition agents including John J. Bartlett of Hugh Springs Texas. Fire destroys Beaumont home. a child dies

A Beaumont Texas fire early today killed four year old Jack Deaton and fatally burned his sister Odetta aged 17. The boy died at the scene while Odetta died later in a hospital. The remaining family members escaped in their night clothes.

Beal Arrested On Prohibition Charge

Orville W. Beal was arrested this morning by Sheriff Peck under a state complaint prepared by the district attorney charging a violation of the state prohibition laws. He was arraigned this afternoon and pleaded not guilty. Trial scheduled for Monday. Beal remains in the county jail awaiting his hearing.

Guilty of Larceny Plea In Local Court

O W Bostick pleaded guilty before Judge Parsons to petty larceny and was fined 30 plus costs. He remains in jail as the fine and costs are unpaid. Local ad notices from Hall Bros and F T Roberts accompany the report.

Auto Bandits Attempt Steal Valued Cargo in NYC

In lower New York on January 28, auto bandits modeled on Wild West holdups shot an express truck driver and a guard to steal a thirty thousand dollar cargo of silks bound for Philadelphia.
