Illinois lawyer admits murder of two people
Warren J. Lincoln an eccentric attorney and gardener confessed murdering his wife and brother in law Byron Shoup and led police to a city dump where a concrete block with the two heads imbedded was found. He said he decapitated the bodies and poured concrete over them. Bodies' fate remains unknown. Thirty are dead, two missing and eight injured from a Berar Clinch coal mine explosion with about 350 workers underground.

Validity Texas auto tax to be decided by high courts

Austin reports no further reprieve will be asked for five inmates slated for execution in Huntsville on February 8. R F Coleman has resigned.
