Welfare Rights Mothers Picket Ends With Planned Santa Fe Talks
About seven members of the local Welfare Rights Organization mothers group picketed the Chaves County Public Welfare Department Office Monday. Public Assistance Agency representatives in Santa Fe agreed to meet with the group later in the day to discuss the status of investigating increased standards of need for public assistance recipients.
