London Jan. 9 The six month siege of Leningrad and two month siege of Sevastopol were reported as virtually broken with garrisons and attacking forces going on the offensive from both ports. Moscow radio claimed the enemy retreated in many sectors as the German machine was broken. Stabbing injures Roswell man. juvenile suspect in custody
A. L. Whiteman, a Roswell elder, is recovering at St Marys hospital from a back stab wound believed caused by a 13 year old African American boy. The assailant, from Oklahoma, was arrested 18 minutes after the incident and faces robbery with a deadly weapon and assault with intent to kill charges in juvenile court. The weapon was a four inch blade hunting knife.
