Police Chief Reports 339 Persons Charged Last Month

Police department records show 339 individuals charged last month per Police Chief Henry Eller. Of these, 145 were arrested and held, 194 cited to court, 78 fined or jailed, 15 transferred to county jail, 10 referred to juvenile court, with the remainder released or awaiting disposition.

Award Contract For Plans For Roswell Air Base

Contracts for drawing plans and specifications for an army bomber school at Roswell have been awarded John Gaw Meem Hugo Zehner Associates of Santa Fe with Voorhees Standhardt of Roswell. The plans cover 27 buildings costing about 3 million dollars. Most drawings will be done locally as Meem Zehner & Associates expand for rush work. Construction contract timing unavailable.
