Montoya Bid Depends on Bernalillo County Votes

One Man Dies in Roswell Weekend Car Crashes

A fatal one car rollover near Lincoln killed Johnny Salcido 21, a pipeline worker from Alamogordo, while two women were hurt in separate crashes 30 miles west of Roswell. J E Woodard witnessed another wreck 300 yards away as a trailer rolled and overturned on U S Highway 70 380 amid 70 mph winds. Funeral details were announced for Salcido in Hondo.

TEIPEI Formosa reports 11 dead and 33 injured in its worst quake in a decade. The epicenter was 45 miles off the east coast near Hualien, with 50 000 residents in that port city. Two Arrests Are Promised in Duke City Shooting

Bernalillo County officers promised two arrests in the shooting of 15 year old Donald Swallows near Albuquerque Saturday afternoon. The victim, son of Lt. Albert Swallows, was in good condition after being shot in the back with a .38 caliber slug. Investigating detective Benny Herrera said two youths would be picked up today as seven boys nearby witnessed the incident believed to stem from a gang fight.

Residents of Chaves County opened their pocketbooks for the heart program. Outlying areas have not yet reported. Mrs. T. H.
