Farmer Weddle and Artesia realtor clash over farm sale
In Dayton New Mexico O P Weddle a farmer three miles northeast of Dayton fought Dan Sullivan a real estate man from Artesia over a farm sale dispute. Weddle was badly bruised with broken ribs and Sullivan was shot with No 4 shot. Weddle claims self defense after Sullivan attacked with a chair. Sullivan not expected to recover. Weddle arrested on $1000 bond. Both men have families.
