Temperature records show 127 degree range over eight months

The text notes a 127 degree temperature spread from the high of 103 at the U S Weather Bureau building on June 18 1932 to a low of 24 below zero on February 8 1933. Fire kills six dented Omaha fire crew at Millard Hotel

In Omaha on February 9 AP reports a four story Millard Hotel blaze killed six firemen, with one missing and 17 injured after a wall collapse trapped Captain Ed Smith and others. Senior Captain George Cogan and Inspector Clarence Urban were also trapped as the roof fell. The missing trio Captain Thomas Shandy John G Brandt and Franklin Kane were believed dead. The loss is placed at 250000 with seven hours of effort yielding one body.
