News from Goldfield reports a Friday IWW strike causing rapid depopulation from 15,000 to about 7,000. Most mines mills and smelters are closed except Hayes Monett and Mohawk. An 18 year old boy Sydney Sloane was found not guilty by reason of insanity in the murder of his father in Spokane Washington. He struck the father with an axe during a midnight meal and robbed him. the body was found the next morning. The defense cited lifelong insanity.
