In Washington the Senate delayed several executive nominations over holidays. David of the United States Territory, plus J. Igahy Nes, faced opposition with no favorable vote in sight. The report notes that Garry Carry of New Mexico remains unconfirmed as the Senate adjourns for the holidays.

His sermon titled A Young Man With a Purpose urged a clean life and goal oriented success.
In a second trial the Tallmadge brothers were found not guilty of defrauding or conspiring to defraud the government in public land entries. The jury, after 13 days, reached verdict on the third ballot, with no witnesses for the defense and no juror objections. The federal court adjourned to January 2 as government counsel planned to discuss further charges with Washington authorities.
Governor Curry and local leaders outline Roswell’s push to brand Pecos Valley at Albuquerque 1908 Congress. Plans include five thousand feet of exhibit space, thirty five hundred dollars in funding, and broad participation by Santa Fe railroad, Las Vegas, El Paso, and regional schools.
A large Roswell gathering at the Majestic Theatre denounced city officials for lowering saloon licenses and lifting limits.
