Newspaper to Go Digital on Tuesdays and Thursdays

The publisher announces the paper will skip Tuesday and Thursday print editions from January 1 and move those editions to digital format on the website. Barbara Beck appeals for readers to keep account information accurate.

Grant to offset design costs for downtown Roswell venue

Chaves County Board of Supervisors approved a 201345 grant from the New Mexico Department of Finance Administration. The funds, from the Regional Recreation Center’s Quality of Life Program, Coronavirus State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds, will offset design costs for an outdoor entertainment venue with restrooms in downtown Roswell. County Manager Bill Williams noted further details on Page A3.

Gonzales Hope Center hosts holiday dinner and fundraiser

The Gonzales Hope Center will host a free Christmas Dinner and Fundraiser this Saturday from 4 to 8 p.m. at 405 East Third Street. Jeneva Martinez says barbers will offer free haircuts for the homeless in the first two hours and the event invites the entire community. donations and volunteers are welcome via 575-208-4055.
