Wings for L.I.F.E. empowers Roswell community services
Shelly Currier leads Wings for L.I.F.E. in Roswell with a staff of 16 and volunteers serving over 2,000 people this year. The program adopts the Search Institute assets to aid youth, families, and detained youths, offering life skills training and positive decision making. Wings collaborates with United Way of Chaves County, Roadrunner Food Bank, Harvest Ministries, and Brown University staff among others. Currier, a 22-year nurse and former CPR instructor, emphasizes flexible parenting classes and broad volunteer participation through the Sun day evening Community Outreach Program.
