Sheriff John Peck of Roswell New Mexico plans to travel to New Mexico with Emerson Watts sought for alleged misappropriation of funds. Watts was state treasurer in 1929 1930 and is accused of misusing investor funds tied to his security brokerage firm in Roswell. He vanished when the firm closed last August and was arrested in San Francisco December 8 where he has been held as a fugitive. Extradition papers signed by Governor Rolph of California are being processed per Governor Seligman.
