Rural development center proposed for Chaves County
A task force in Chaves County is formed to draft a prospectus for a state rural development center. Ernie Witucki of the Roswell Chamber of Development and Commerce proposes a research and development hub with extension offices, marketing, and stations, potentially linked to ENMU Roswell or ENMU Portales. Funding options include the Rural Development Act with local resource capitalization as a key goal for all of New Mexico.
