Sydney man charged in North Korea missile sales case
Chan Han Choi, a 59 year old Sydney resident born in South Korea, faces six charges for brokering missile component and expertise sales for North Korea. Police say the case involves tens of millions of dollars in potential trades offshore, with attempts to transfer coal to Indonesia and Vietnam and to procure software for ballistic guidance. Bail was refused. Choi could face up to ten years in prison under Australia’s Weapons of Mass Destruction Act.
