In Daly City California officers found an intruder under a 1957 model in an automobile showroom. Sgt Dave ordered him to come out but he replied I cant. The car was jacked up and Winfred Ivanhoe 26 was booked on burglary prowling and vagrancy charges.
President Eisenhower and Indian Prime Minister Nehru departed Blair House for a privacy visit at Eisenhower’s Pennsylvania farm near Gettysburg. The leaders planned hours of unguarded discussion aiming to improve U S India ties rather than seal specific agreements.

Moscow accuses three U S B57 bombers of trespassing near Vladivostok in a December 11 reconnaissance mission. The United States denies knowledge of the flight, while the State Department studies the Soviet note.

A car collided with the Southern Pacific Golden State Limited near Phoenix killing 11 occupants. The train, traveling 75 mph, continued to Union Station without further injuries aboard, while rescuers found mangled bodies and an 18 month old survivor with critical injuries. Local authorities call it Arizona’s worst auto accident.
