Probe continues in Hobbs pool oil case
In a federal suit by Hobbs Townsite Co against Midwest Refining the examination of witnesses resumed. Geologist Leo V. Horton testified that Hobbs pool wells could reach 50 percent of capacity without harming the pool and that drainage of oil is significant. He estimated a loss of six pounds per month in bottom hole pressure, equating to about 6 000 barrels lost monthly for the pool. Horton testified after a noon recess while court resumed at two.
