Topeka Kansas December 14 4 F Grimes ex state treasurer today paid Kansas the sum of 9381. An investigating committee had previously held his administration responsible for a shortage traced to a long standing office practice. Investigation showed Grimes did not benefit and he paid to clear his administration of a personal loss.

Goodloe Edgar and Edwin Earl of Wm F Edgar Son sugar sealers Detroit pleaded guilty in New York federal court to accepting rebates on shipments. Each fined 6000 dollars and paid.
