Bank official pleads guilty to embezzlement in Milwaukee bank
Hagbart Gregorson, former exchange teller at the Milwaukee Avenue Bank presided by Paul O. Stensland, pleaded guilty to embezzling bank funds and received an indeterminate penitentiary sentence. He claimed the money was used to help a young woman start a beauty doctor business. A four story boiler explosion at the P. J. Harney Shoe Mfg Co in West Lynn Massachusetts caused a factory collapse and a fire that damaged more than a dozen businesses including shoe firms and the Boston & Maine station.
