Roswell carousel restoration advances at Spring River Zoo
Work on Roswell’s antique carousel continues with 35 hand carved wood figures. The lead horse remains on display at the Roswell Public Library since mid 2021 and volunteers, including Iris Watson, restore four animals now in various rehab stages.

Mexican national sentenced for killing wife and kidnapping boy
Jorge Ernes Rico-Ruvira, 37, was sentenced in Roswell New Mexico to 18 years for second-degree murder in the death of Isela Mauricio-Sanchez and three years for abuse of a child, with sentences running consecutively. He was found not guilty of first-degree murder.

Public tour set for warming shelter site in Roswell
Advocates for the unhoused will host a walk through at 405 East Third St on Saturday at 2 PM with local nonprofits With Many Hands and Roswell Community Disaster Relief Services. A volunteer training session will follow, covering shelter operations and emergency protocols.
