New Mexico College Officials Push Giant Four Year Budget
The State Board of Educational Finance heard New Mexico college leaders press a $19.6 million four year budget with staff proposing $16.5 million. Institutes requested $9.19 million for 1957-58 and $10.41 million for 1958-59, trimmed to about $7.74 million and $8.76 million respectively. The board tabled the S. V. Martorana report on state leadership in junior college programs and approved a $350,000 bond for New Mexico Western College dormitory.
