Chaves County Cotton Carnival Eyed With Grand Fair Plans
The Eastern New Mexico State Fair known as the Chaves County Cotton Carnival prepares for a three day event with a rodeo fireworks parade and pageant. Exhibits, bands, free entertainment and a large historical pageant are scheduled across venues in Artesia Roswell and Carlsbad with plans dating back to the 1923 carnival.
