Mimic delivers nerve jangling insect horror in subway
A rife with goo and exoskeletons special effects thriller directed by Guillermo Del Toro keeps viewers queasy from start to finish. Mira Sorvino as entomologist Susan Tyler leads a team to battle 6 foot humanoid cockroaches evolved from the Judas Breed in New York City tunnels. The cast includes Jeremy Northam, Alexander Goodwin, Giancarlo Giannini, and Charles S. Dutton as a transit cop while the creatures mimic humans, creating a tense, disorienting siege through fetid subway corridors.
