Public hearing set on Fisk Building sale in Roswell
Roswell City Council approved an 8 to 2 motion to hold a public hearing on Mason Holdings LLC bid for the 114 year old Fisk Building at Fourth and Main. The sole $30,000 offer includes $21,500 to the city and $8,500 to the Hispano Chamber of Commerce with relocation aid and rent support. Critics question bid structure and anti-donation concerns while two councilors urged fixes before advertisement. The hearing is planned for September 14 at the next council meeting.
